About the role

Élara & Co. is a Bengaluru studio for residences of quiet, lasting refinement: villas, penthouses and apartments, composed around the people who live in them and carried through, detail by detail, to the handover. Select commercial spaces receive the same care.

We are looking for an Interior Designer who wants to see what they draw get built. You will take a home from the first brief through concept, 3D and working drawings to site, alongside our factory and site teams, and be someone the client trusts in the room.

Joining within 30 days is preferred. To apply, share your CV and a portfolio of residential work, noting your own role in each project.

What you will do
  • Study the brief, the floor plan and the site, and plan the space around how the family lives
  • Develop concepts, moodboards and material palettes, and present them to clients
  • Build 3D models, renders and walkthroughs that show the room as it will be built
  • Produce working drawings for joinery, modular kitchens, wardrobes, ceilings, lighting and electrical layouts
  • Select finishes, such as veneers, laminates, PU, stone, fabrics, hardware and lighting, within the approved budget
  • Prepare BOQs and specifications, and keep them current as the design evolves
  • Work with our factory and site teams so the built room matches the drawing, and resolve questions on site
  • Take part in snag reviews, styling and the final handover
What we look for
  • 3–6 years in residential interiors, with completed homes in your portfolio
  • AutoCAD and SketchUp, a rendering tool such as V-Ray, Enscape or Lumion, and Photoshop for presentations
  • Working knowledge of joinery, modular systems, materials and finishes, and how they are made and installed
  • Drawings precise enough for a carpenter to build from without a phone call
  • A calm, clear way of presenting to clients and acting on their feedback
  • A degree or diploma in interior design or architecture
