The Whitewashed Brick House

A forty-year-old family house on a 40 × 60 plot, rebuilt for three generations under one roof. The brief was warmth without fuss: the exposed brick of the old house kept and lime-washed, black-framed windows, oak beams, black and cream framed joinery with black iron pulls, and honed marble in the kitchen. One navy wall at the door, one olive bedroom, one dark-oak family room; everything else cream plaster, reclaimed oak and linen.
